Acetylene Detection System

The Acetylene Detection System monitors the levels of acetylene in the atmosphere of the cylinder charging room. PLC issues a warning at 25% of LFL and shuts down the plant if the LFL equals or exceeds 50%.

Safety is of extreme importance in an acetylene manufacturing plant. Rexarc offers a complete acetylene gas detection system for continuous monitoring of the cylinder filling room. The operating power for this system is supplied from the Rexarc Motor Control Center (MCC).

• Under normal conditions, the monitor provides a constant ‘SAFE’ light status indicating the monitor is on.
• When there is a high concentration of acetylene in the room, an audible alarm will sound and the ‘ALARM’ light will turn on.
