Motor Control Center (MCC)

For Rexarc Models 925 and ATX Series of acetylene plants, the Motor Control Center is equipped with a Siemens S7 programmable logic controller for controlling the complete operational functions, comprehensive trouble-shooting program and emergency shutdown procedures.

For Rexarc Model 301, operational functions are completed using programmed timers, switches, and relays.

Solid state circuit breakers and starters operate the automatic plant functions and a scrolling message center with an explosion proof remote in the charging room advises the operators of any variations in the normal operating functions. Component functions are controlled through the programmable logic controller (PLC). A message center provides information allowing the components to perform at peak performance. Industrial solid-state electrical components and intrinsically safe relays permit the use of low-voltage electrical switches for safer operation. The MCC can be expanded in accordance with the system size. This is done with the help of the ‘Add’ system in the PLC.
