The Opportunity

Rexarc customers Air Products in South America had a Sanghi 45 m/hr generator averaging 16 tonnes of gas production per month. Overall, the acetylene plant was running well, producing well. On an audit visit to the plant, Rexarc’s Prasanth Kumar noticed water temperatures fluctuating and a high volume of acetone cylinders being used. Kumar recommended installation of the Rexarc Water Temperature Upgrade on their acetylene plant.

The Solution

While the customer could have replaced their existing water temperature regulator with the same one that came standard on their system, they chose to install a Rexarc Water Temperature Upgrade as suggested during their plant’s performance audit.

The customer easily installed the Rexarc Water Temperature Upgrade at the plant with minimal downtime and has achieved terrific results.

The Outcomes

“All positive,” said Rexarc’s customer.

First, the customer noted that installation was very easy.

Maintenance also is much easier with the Rexarc Water Temperature Upgrade than their original equipment. Most importantly, levels are now clearly visible to all operators, making any adjustments easier and quicker, keeping all safe and the system producing more efficiently and safer than with temperature fluctuations.
